Leviticus 14:17
And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering:
Leviticus 14:17
The rest of the oil is placed on the right ear, right thumb, and right big toe, on the blood of the trespass offering. This continuation emphasizes anointing and consecration beyond the initial exposure to blood, signifying ongoing sanctification in hearing, doing, and walking in obedience.
It reinforces the holistic nature of sanctification: inward discernment (ears), outward service (hands), and movement in life (feet) are all saturated with the Spirit’s life and the ongoing act of consecration.
Ask God to permeate your listening, actions, and ways of movement in life. Seek to be an agent of blessing in how you hear others, how you serve, and where you go.
