Isaiah 40:28
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
Isaiah 40:28
This verse proclaims the immutability and exhaustion-free nature of the everlasting God. The One who created ends of the earth does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is inexhaustible. The rhetorical question invites the hearer to recognize God’s infinite attributes.
The themes include God’s eternality, omniscience, and infinite wisdom. It counters human fatigue with assurance that God’s power and wisdom are inexhaustible. This supports a robust trust that God’s plans cannot be thwarted by human limits or exhaustion.
When you are spiritually or physically drained, this verse is a lifeline. Depend on God’s limitless strength rather than your own. Practical habits: schedule rest, lean on community, and rely on the Spirit’s power in weakness. For caregivers, first responders, or leaders, this is a reminder that sustainable effectiveness comes from divine energy rather than mere personal stamina.
