Isaiah 12:2

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

ISAIAH 12:2

This is a personal declaration of trust. “Behold, God is my salvation” sums up trust in Yahweh as Savior, not fragile idol worship or military might. The verse connects trust with fearlessness; “strength and my song” depicts worship as a source of inner power. “Jehovah” as salvation reinforces the relational aspect: salvation is God’s action toward His people, not a distant principle.

The verse centers on salvation as a person-centered reality: trust leads to considering God as both strength and song—joyful proclamation in song and worship. It underlines the unity of grace and faith: God provides saving action, and faith responds with confidence and praise. It also highlights the accessibility of salvation in daily life, not merely in apocalyptic moments.

When anxiety rises, rehearse the claim: God is my salvation. Practice trust in small moments—choosing courage over fear in conversations, finances, or health decisions. Let worship be a daily rhythm: sing or pray short phrases of thankfulness, turning attention from fear to God’s sustaining power. Share testimonies of how God’s strength carried you through yesterday’s challenge.
