Daniel 6:21

Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

DANIEL 6:21

Daniel’s simple response, “O king, live for ever,” is courteous and respectful, even in danger. It marks a transition from human anxiety to a posture of honor toward the king. Daniel’s reply preserves dignity, diffuses hostility, and keeps doors open for the king’s acknowledgment of divine power.

The verse affirms a gentle, respectful posture toward governing authorities, even when those authorities are mistaken or manipulated. It shows a faithful witness who remains courteous and avoids public accusation, trusting God to vindicate in due time.

In conflicts, choose respectful communication. You can stand firm in your convictions without belittling others. The way we speak, especially to those in power or in challenging moments, can bear witness to God’s character.
