Acts 13:38

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

Acts 13:38

Paul proclaims that through Jesus “is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins.” This marks a pivot from law-keeping to grace through faith in Christ. Forgiveness here is comprehensive, addressing not only individual sins but also the guilt and condemnation tied to them, offering reconciliation with God.

Forgiveness is central to the Christian message. It establishes the basis for righteousness before God (justification) and enables a renewed relationship with God (reconciliation). It also signals the pivot from reliance on Mosaic law to trust in the Messiah’s redemptive work.

This invites personal response: trust in Jesus’ atoning work, accept forgiveness, and live in light of grace. Practically, this means confessing sins, embracing God’s mercy, extending forgiveness to others, and resisting the urge to “earn” God’s favor through works.
